Директор Эрмитажа в эфире программы «Поздняков» рассказал о новых выставках, о том, как сохранить традиции в мультикультурном мире, и о своем отношении к последним событиям вокруг Исаакиевского собора.
Михаил Пиотровский: «Это совершенно особое место. Это место особой истории. Это место, которое дало образец взаимодействия церкви и музея. Поэтому здесь нельзя торопиться, нельзя оскорблять граждан, не спрашивая у них. Нельзя закрыть музей, не спросив у Союза музеев России или не проведя хотя бы какое-то совещание с Союзом музеев России».
Михаил Пиотровский также рассказал о том, что до сих пор не удается уладить вопрос относительно коллекций, которые распродавались правительством в советские годы.
Михаил Пиотровский: «В учетных документах Эрмитажа до сих пор не исключены высшими инстанциями те картины, которые проданы и висят в Вашингтонской галерее. Всем известно: мы эти картины привозили, об этом изданы книги, мы издали материалы. Есть вещи, которые должны сделать не мы…
